ABOUT
Howdy!
It’s the Fruity Flipper here! My (real) name is Sam Boardman and I am a junior in the Isenberg School of Management, pursuing a double major in marketing and public health. This uncommon combination allows me to apply skills acquired as a business student in a career to productively impact others.
Through my public health education, I have grown very interested in people’s health, lifestyles, and environments. I see how these aspects may contribute to their work ethic and skill set, prompting individuals to bring different perspectives to team projects. As an aspiring marketer, my main goal is to work with others to promote business initiatives that I feel passionately towards.
Currently, I am an active member and executive board leader in Isenberg Women in Business. Our organization holds weekly meetings and workshops, and attends multiple leadership conferences. As a Women of Isenberg Conference Committee Chair, I work with a student and faculty team to plan and execute our annual conference, hosting over 380 attendees each year. Around campus, you may also find me preparing sandwiches at the Umass Deli. My work experience in customer service, both my current and past jobs at home, have enabled me to work with a culturally diverse labor force and has helped strengthen my time management skills. Some of my personal interests include running, spending time laughing with friends, and flipping.
